Grading, Excavation, and Drainage That Keep Your Yard Dry Across Woburn and Greater Boston

Water in the wrong place ruins a yard, a lawn, and sometimes a foundation. J&E Corp grades and shapes the ground and builds the drainage that moves water where it should go. It is the work under the surface that makes everything on top of it last, and it is a core part of the landscaping we do across Woburn and Middlesex County.

Slope it away from the house.

Shape the ground so water runs the right way.

Most water problems start with how the ground sits. We grade and excavate so the yard slopes away from the house and the low spots that hold water get fixed. Get the grade right and the rest of the landscape has a base it can hold to.

Drainage that solves the water issue for good.

No more standing water.

A puddle that comes back every storm is a drainage problem, not a weather problem. We build drainage that carries water off the lawn and away from the home, so the yard dries out and stays dry instead of going soft and soggy.

The prep that protects the whole project.

Grading and drainage come first for a reason. Patios, walls, and lawns built on ground that drains hold their line for years; the same work on ground that floods does not. Doing the excavation and drainage right up front is how we protect everything we build on top.

Grading, French Drains, And Drainage Solutions For Your Yard

Grading and Excavation

Grading and excavation reshapes the ground itself. The crew cuts, fills, and re-slopes the soil so the yard sheds water away from the house and the foundation, and the low spots that hold puddles get leveled out before anything new gets built on top.

French Drains

A French drain is a gravel trench with a perforated pipe run along the bottom. It collects water that sits underground or pools on the surface and carries it off to a lower outlet, which is the fix for a soggy stretch of yard that comes back after every storm.

Drainage Solutions

Drainage solutions cover the wider work of moving water where it should go. Beyond grading and French drains, the crew maps the path the water needs to take across the property and builds it to carry runoff off the lawn and away from the home for good.
